detail Nancy Juda Artist Statement: I love glass. The fact that it is actually a super-cooled liquid that appears to be a solid fascinates me. Its aesthetic qualities and how it interacts with its environment intrigue me. There is a symbiotic relationship between glass and the space it occupies that changes over time, particularly as the light changes. As the viewer looks at and through a piece made of glass, that which is behind and around it becomes distorted and included. As light moves through it, a reflection or pattern can be thrown into the environment. Glass colors light.
