HISTORIC PULLMAN NEIGHBORHOOD ART WALK
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2015 - 1:00PM TO 3:30PM

An artist-lead guided walk of the historic Pullman neighborhood--recently designated a National Monument town by President Obama--with a focus on its art, architecture and landmarks. During the tour, you’ll experience a walk back in time - almost all of the original 1880s housing and many original public buildings comprise the district today.

The tour will begin at Mosnart (an ongoing project by JB Daniel) and visit installations realized through the mosnart project including Matthew Hoffman’s “Go For It” text sculpture in Market Hall and Erica Huntzinger’s community wide installation “Blue Lines”. Also included on the tour will be a number of Pullmans own alley art examples. The tour will conclude at the Pullman Artspace site - an artist live/work project being developed in partnership with ArtSpace, CNI, PullmanArts. There will be a conceptual discussion with the winning Chicago architectural team concerning the Artspace project and the site history.
