Q Kiser Pullman resident since 2010 Q Kiser has been a multi-instrumentalist, performing musician, and composer since childhood, and a music instructor since 1991. His Bachelor of Music in Bass Trombone and Upright Bass from Indiana University Fort Wayne opened his eyes to the world of 20th century "classical" music where he saw and heard the possibilities of audio art expand far beyond Do-Re-Mi. In an effort to expand his musical horizons he moved from Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2001 to the north side of Chicago where he met his amazing wife Ann. She discovered the wonderful neighborhood of Pullman and in 2010 they bought the historic Pullman row house where they live today. Q's original works range from sweet, longing love songs to disturbing soundscapes and hypnotic grooves built organically in the moment. Instruments on his artist palette include bass, guitar, ukulele, brass instruments, keyboard, voice, multi-effects, and a loop station. He loves to share the beauty, passion, and healing that music can bring with others through teaching, jamming, and performing. You can find Q performing at Pullman events throughout the year, onstage with the high energy and interactive band The Hat Guys, free jamming with fellow musicians in Pullman and around the region, teaching rock & pop bands in underserved areas with Intonation Music Workshop, and teaching privately in Pullman and around Chicagoland.
